From My Standpoint (2011), 11 mirrors and printed adhesive films, dimensions variable

Residents of the town of Yatsuo, Toyama, opened up their homes as exhibition spaces for a town-wide art festival. The focus of this installation was the traditional Japanese architectural space. Mirrors were placed in the house before cleanup and views of the rooms as seen in the mirrors were photographed. Images were then printed on translucent adhesive films and overlaid back onto the surfaces of the mirrors. The rooms were cleaned and household items were stored away for the exhibition. When a viewer moved around and found the exact viewpoint of the camera, the printed scenery of pre-exhibition space overlapped seamlessly with reflection of the rooms at present.
